Fundraising has kicked off for the Company’s 24th Annual Charity Golf Tournament and 1st Annual Golf Ball Drop. All proceeds from both events will benefit the United Way of Aroostook to help neighbors in need.
The Golf Ball Drop will be held at MMG’s headquarters in Presque Isle, Maine on Friday, September 8th at 4:30pm with the Golf Tournament scheduled for the next day at the Aroostook Valley County Club in Fort Fairfield, Maine. The Scramble style tournament will begin at 8:30 AM with a shotgun start. This year’s tournament boasts over $5,000 in cash and prizes including a Hole-in-One contest featuring the chance to win a new car. Registration is now open and available via the link below.
The public is invited to come and watch the Golf Ball Drop which will be done with the help of the Presque Isle Fire Department. Close to 500 golf balls will be dropped from the highest point of the Fire Department’s ladder truck to the field below. The closest golf ball to the pin will win the grand prize – $500 cash! Other fantastic prizes donated by event sponsors will be up for grabs as well.
Tickets for the Golf Ball Drop are $10/each or 3/$25.
